Day 3 of #wonderfulladvent and the prompt word is dream.
Dreams in 2020 seem to have faded. People with lost hope not seeing beyond the pandemic.
Your dreams may change, fade or disappear but with passion and resolve you can still achieve a target, a goal.
One thing I have learnt this year though is that age truly is a just number.
For those that have not met the UK’s new national treasures. Captain Tom raised millions for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden for his 100th birthday. Marcus Rashford a young well known football player who has not forgotten his roots took on the government to fight child hunger.
Both could of stayed locked down and given up there fight, their dream of helping the NHS and helping to end poverty but they didn’t.
At Christmas thinking of the true story. Did Mary expect to give birth to God’s child. Did Joseph expect to raise the child not his. Were they planning there own future, there own family and lives. Did they give up or continue with the dream.
Whatever your dream your view may just need adjusting. 2020 may of put a dampner on your dream job, dream holiday or dream house but you are here to still dream, however old you are, however big or small the dream.
Why not take a leaf out of our national treasures book and make that dream about helping others.
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
John 15:12
