Today’s Five minute Friday prompt word is Born. You can join in the fun here: https://fiveminutefriday.com
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.
Jeremiah 1:5
I almost gave up on the prompt word this week. I thought an reflected for a day as this word opens up a huge amount of ideas and issues with nothing I could put to paper. I know the idea is to just write for 5 minutes with no perfection so here goes!
Start:
I picture a photo from space with you standing on top of the world, all crystal and clear with bright blue seas and a vibrant colourful land.
The space in the backdrop is as black as can be. The stars sparkling, glistening like a million diamonds floating in space.
As you stand you stood there cradling me in your arms, your looking at me with a face of pure love, telling me all your dreams and desires for me. You already know my mistakes and disgraces but you do not care for you love me so.
For God so loves the world he sent his one and only son, for whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
God places me down on an earth mixed with love and corruption. Born to earthly parents who love me so. Who were also held in your arms so tight.
But after we are born the nature of this world creeps in and if we aren’t careful get caught in a wave of anger, hate, jealously and lies.
We forget about that moment where we were held in the arms of the holy super natural one.
We can lose faith and confidence. Be treated so badly we lose our way. Our moral compass goes adrift. We start to think we are no good. We can only see hate and lies and need to understand our place on earth
But God never stopped holding us. He knew it was all becoming so much. He gave us the only thing that can make this right. His one and only son.
A son who came to earth like me, born as child, but didn’t fall for the lies and temptations of the world. He stayed pure and sinless and shed his blood so that I can be held again.
So if you feel unloved, worthless and their is no hope. Look and search for the truth of Jesus. For once you accept him in your heart. You are no longer a slave to sin but a prince or princess of a king. Free, loved and clothed ready for eternity.
Stop
OK. Over 5 minutes. Not perfect and didn’t give up!

Visiting as yo;ur FMF neighbor. And you said you had nothing to say … Well done!

I see You standing on the Earth,
but look, oh gory be!
The giant-vision of my birth
is including me!
This feeling sure is very odd,
don’t know what to say;
not that I compare to God,
but He has found a way
to elevate what I thought low,
to raise on high the soul,
to deal my sin a crushing blow,
and pay, for me, the toll
that I could stand right by His side
with nothing, not a bit, to hide.
