OK, I’m late to the party again. But hey I got here! (Wink wink smiley face)

Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5v16

Today is not just another day in lockdown.

For some it is another day of grief, another day of loneliness, another day of worry.

Some are fighting for their lives, some are fighting to save them.

Some are still working hard, some are bored in furlough. Husbands have been given long lists of those DIY jobs put off long ago.

For some it is another opportunity to savour another day. To breathe in the beauty of this worlds and make the most of all its glory.

Whatever your another day looks like, make the most of it each and every day.

Make it not just another day. Ask God to give us new opportunities to creatively connect with him and others in new ways.

So today in these challenging times, rise up and be led by God. Be challenged in finding new ways to shine God’s light into your world.

Finding new ways to connect, share compassion and love may not be the same, but being led by the spirit we can shine our light that only glorifies our God.

  1. Love the thought that today is not just another day but an opportunity to serve Him! I’m finding many of the lessons of this uncertain times not only apply now but in all our days, like this one! Thank you for sharing!

  2. Queer that “lockdown’s” what it’s called,
    and I say this with derision,
    for truly, I am sore appalled;
    it’s a term they use in prison.
    I suspect that this may be
    a slip far worse than Freudian,
    for it seems the power that be
    would like us in a Gordian
    knot of new restrictions,
    tracking through our phones,
    Soma-like prescriptions,
    and surveiled by Chinese drones.
    As for me, I’ll have some fun;
    gone out hiking, took a gun.
